Focus on Screening, Laparoscopic & Minimally Invasive Approaches

Copley’s board-certified general surgeons offer a compassionate and efficient system of care, providing comprehensive screening, evaluation, treatment, and surgical expertise.

We listen and focus on you as a whole person, collaborating with you and your referring physician to create a treatment plan to meet your individual needs.

Attuned to the latest research and techniques, our expert surgeons perform both inpatient and outpatient surgeries and procedures with a focus on laparoscopic and minimally invasive approaches.

Personalized Care

Because Copley Hospital is small, we can offer personalized care throughout your surgery, including preparation and recovery. Our surgical care team focuses on patient education to ensure you understand your treatment options and the details of your surgical procedure and recovery.

Elective and Emergent Surgeries and Procedures

We perform both elective and emergent surgeries as well as preventative screenings including colonoscopies.

Elective surgery is planned for and scheduled in advance and includes consulting with your referring physician.

Emergent surgery is usually the result of a medical emergency and is most often referred from an Emergency Department physician, with pertinent follow-up with your primary care physician.

General Surgery Services provided include:

The most common condition general surgeons fix are hernias, this is true at Copley as well.  One of things we are most proud of is the state-of-the-art laparoscopic or minimally invasive technique used to repair the majority of hernias.  This technique has fewer complications, involves less pain, and gets people back to their normal lives much quicker than the traditional surgical approach.

We also perform procedures to biopsy or remove cancer masses including skin, breast, thyroid, prostate and colon. In addition to clinic care, we provide urgent surgical care for conditions including blockages, ruptures, diverticulitis, appendicitis and gallbladder disease.
