Hospitalists are specialists in the field of internal medicine who care for hospitalized patients, coordinating all of the patient’s hospital care including tests and consultations.
Copley’s Hospitalists are board-certified internists and skilled in the latest diagnostics and treatments and compassionate care. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our Hospitalists work closely with your primary care physician and coordinate care with nursing staff and other in-hospital care providers such as physical therapists, laboratory, dieticians, and patient and family services to treat your medical needs. They also consult with surgical patients and provide rapid response care to critically ill patients.
They communicate with family, primary care physicians, and outpatient providers, such as rehabilitation or long-term nursing facilities, throughout your hospitalization and assist with coordinating a smooth transition in care after discharge.
Copley’s Hospitalists service enables primary care providers to spend more time in their clinics, increasing access to care for everyone.
