Copley Gravel Grinder
Join us for a bike ride through Lamoille County’s most beautiful back roads!
Led by Copley’s own Travis Knapp, CRNA, the Gravel Grinder offers a scenic bike ride through picturesque Morrisville and Elmore, Vermont and includes a class 4 road, hills, curves, and slopes in support of Copley Hospital, the region’s community hospital.
The proceeds from our first year’s Gravel Grinder benefitted the construction of our new MRI Suite.

Route Options
The Gravel Grinder offers route options for beginner, moderate and expert riders.
For the More Experienced Riders
Welcome to Copley Hospital’s annual Gravel Grinder event.
This year we will have two options for bikers; a 20+ mile ride on the Vermont Rail Trail taking moderate riders to Jeffersonville and back. And a 26-30 mile ride for the more expert riders that includes a class 4 road, curves, hills and more. Some of the back roads include Elmore Mountain Road, Churchill Road, Bliss Hill Road, Earl Grey Road, Randolph Road, and Fitzgerald Road. Copley’s CRNA Travis Knapp will be leading the way!
The gravel grinder package includes a t-shirt, pint glass and taco. Please email jbaker@chsi.org with your t-shirt size.
A portion of your entry fee is a tax deductible donation to Copley. To register for the Copley Gravel Grinder 2022 visit www.bikereg.com.
Note: This route does include some public roads. Riders are expected to obey all rules of the road, and ride at their own risk.
For Families and Younger Riders
Last Year’s Family Ride Package keeps young ones and their parents on the Rail Trail to Hyde Park. This fun and easy ride follows the Lamoille River for roughly 9-miles before turning around and heading back to our starting point!
