Copley Hospital Welcomes Midwife Erinn Mandeville to The Women’s Center

Erinn Mandeville, CNM joins the
team at The Women’s Center

Copley Hospital welcomes Erinn Mandeville, Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), to its provider team at The Women’s Center. “We are pleased to welcome Erinn to the Copley community. Her shared philosophy with the other providers at The Women’s Center, makes her a good addition to our team,” said Copley Chief Operating Officer Vera Jones. Ms. Mandeville will begin seeing patients on June 22.

Erinn is a native of Vermont, having grown up in the Upper Valley area. In 2014, she received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Bunker Hill Community College in Charlestown, MA and completed her Masters in Midwifery from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA in 2017. Erinn is board certified through the American College of Nurse Midwives.

For the past two years, Erinn has provided full-time midwifery care at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. There, she provided antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care, water birth, well woman/GYN care, contraception, and group prenatal care, and developed a growing focus on pelvic floor health. From 2015-2017, she served as a triage nurse to OB/GYN Specialist Beth Hardiman, MD at Mount Auburn Hospital where she was responsible for triaging patients, scheduling appointments, postpartum care, and lactation care. Erinn served as a provider of personalized, one-on-one birth, and postpartum doula care to private clients birthing at home or in Boston-area hospitals from 2010-2017.

“While I have learned so much and have enjoyed my work at a high volume Boston-area hospital, I have also been feeling a pull to return to a practice where I can spend more time connecting with patients. I enjoy learning more about my patients; their stories and concerns as they search for the right contraceptive, start on the adventure of bringing a new life into the world, and navigate through menopause. I really appreciate the midwifery-centered care model at Copley. That, and the team approach and level of compassion, makes Copley the right choice for me,” said Erinn.

Erinn and her partner recently purchased land in the area, knowing that they wanted to make this area their long-term home. “I’m excited about the Green Mountains in general and just being out in their beauty. Returning home to Vermont has been a longtime goal, and I am happy to finally make it back,” she continued. Outside of practice, she enjoys gardening, knitting, biking, and the process of working with people to create things. Please join Copley in welcoming Erinn Mandeville to the Copley family.

Ms. Mandeville will join midwives Kipp Bovey, Rebecca Gloss, Jennifer Walters, and OB/GYN William Ellis, MD. The Women’s Center at Copley sees patients Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. About The Women’s Center at Copley

The providers at The Women’s Center are a collaborative team, working with women during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. However, midwives are not just for pregnancy. Patients see the certified nurse midwives at The Women’s Center for well-woman care, contraceptive options, menopause care, and treatment of problem gynecologic conditions and diseases.

Our OB/GYNs are available for higher risk pregnancy and births as well as gynecologic care.

The Women’s Center works closely with Copley’s Birthing Center, offering moms and babies the kind of personal attentive care that only a small community-based and family-oriented hospital can offer.
