Curtis Kerbs joins team Copley as VP of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer

Copley Hospital is pleased to welcome Curtis Kerbs to the hospital’s senior management team.

Curtis joins the hospital as VP of Information Technology (IT) and Chief Information Officer.

“Curtis brings vast knowledge of Information Technology, strategic planning and leadership to our community hospital,” said CEO Joe Woodin. “His entire working career has been in the healthcare industry both in and outside of Vermont having come most recently from Maine Health Systems.”

For the past nine years, Curtis has served as Senior Director of Information Services and Regional Chief Information Officer for two of Maine Health System hospitals; Memorial Hospital in North Conway, New Hampshire and Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, Maine. In addition to strategic and tactical planning of the information technology systems, he managed the hospital’s Electronic Medical Record and financial systems technical infrastructure. “There is no doubt that the experience and team approach Curtis brings in information technology management will be a tremendous asset to us,” continued Woodin.

Curtis is no stranger to Vermont. In fact, prior to his work at Maine Health System, Curtis served as Director of Information Systems and later as CIO/VP Information Systems at Central Vermont Medical Center, positions he held for 14 years.

What sets Curtis apart from others is his strength and vision for being a strategist while focusing on organizational goals and vision. “Curtis sees the whole picture allowing him to connect information systems with operations, clinical areas and business goals,” continued Woodin.

Curtis earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at South Adventist University and his Master of Science in Internet Engineering at Marlboro College. He is a member of Healthcare Executive Network and HIMSS.

“It’s great to be back in Vermont,” says Curtis. “And especially to have landed here at Copley Hospital. Copley has such a special reputation as a caring, patient-centered organization committed to improving the health of the communities it serves. I’m thrilled to be a member of this exceptional team of professionals.”

Curtis and his wife currently reside in Eden. He is an outdoor enthusiast. Curtis looks forward to hitting the slopes this winter, as he is an avid snowboarder, and exploring new trails this summer on his mountain bike. Please join the Copley family in welcoming Curtis to the team.
