Morrisville, VT – This month’s Copley Team Hero awardee truly demonstrates her worthiness of such an honor. Tammy Pasette, a member of the hospital’s Purchasing and Receiving Department/Materials Management team, was named this month’s Hero by the hospital’s leadership group. The Copley Team Hero award recognizes employees who exemplify the hospital’s values of community, respect and compassion, service excellence and life-long learning.
Tanya Morin of Patient Financial Services nominated Pasette for her outgoing customer service skills and cheerful personality. “Tammy is always greeting patients and visitors to the hospital. She is quick to recognize when someone needs assistance and lends her help. This same courtesy is extended to all hospital staff,” said Morin.
Pasette’s peers describe her as a perfectionist, with strong work ethics and is considered “a doer of projects.” Dawn Sweetser, Senior Buyer in Materials Management, describes Pasette as one who takes great pride in her work. “If Tammy sees where we can improve on efficiency, safety or quality, she does not hesitate to bring her thoughts and recommendation forward,” said Sweetser.
Pasette embraces lifelong learning. She began her career at Copley in Environmental Services before being promoted to Materials Management. She has continued to develop her leadership skills, completing the 2017 Leadership Lamoille Program offered through the Lamoille Valley Chamber of Commerce. Since the program, Pasette has continued to further her education by taking classes in computer software and medical terminology.
She resides in Hardwick with her husband Thomas. Pasette enjoys spending time with her dog, Hannah, but, according to her, the light of her life is her grandson, Huntley. Hobbies include kayaking, camping, fishing and floating on the lake.
Congratulations Tammy from the entire Copley family.
