Copley Hospital recently honored Miranda Wescom as a Team Hero. Wescom, a Medical Assistant at The Women’s Center, was recognized for her dedication and passion for patient care. The Copley Team Hero award recognizes employees who exemplify the hospital’s values of community, respect and compassion, service excellence and life-long learning.
Clinical Systems Analyst Michelle MacDonald nominated Wescom for the award. “Miranda works together with her team, providing invaluable support to her colleagues and providers. She brings a wonderful combination of compassion, innocence and dedication that sets such a great example for those around her,” said MacDonald. MacDonald notes that Wescom is constantly educating herself to better her patient care, stating, “She brings to the practice a strong work ethic and thoughtful passion for caring for others that makes her deserving of such an honor.”
Wescom joined Copley in 2011 as a Licensed Nursing Assistant caring for patients on the Acute Care Nursing Unit. In June of 2015 she joined the team at The Women’s Center. She resides in Cambridge with her daughter.
