Copley Gallery at Copley Hospital is pleased to be hosting the works of Greensboro resident Elaine Cole. Cole’s show of local landscapes including the Stone House in Greenboro, Lake Willoughby, Highland Lodge, and Gebbie Farm runs through December 1st. Copley welcomes visitors to browse its gallery and see the work of talented community members. The Gallery is open seven days a week from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
Cole was born and raised in Westmore atop a mountain overlooking Lake Willoughby. It was that view, and the beauty of our great state, that inspired her to pick up a paint brush and learn how to paint. Cole recently returned to the love of painting after retiring nearly three years ago. A self-taught artist, she enjoys working in a variety of art mediums including oil, acrylic, pencil and watercolor. Her husband, Rod Kerr, designs frames for many of her pieces.
Following Cole’s show a group of local photographers from River Arts will be featured starting December 4th. If you are interested in showing or purchasing artwork please call the hospital’s Community Relations office at 888-8302.
