Hospitalist Steven S. Levine, MD

Copley Hospital is pleased to welcome Steven Levine, M.D. to the hospital’s medical staff.  Dr. Levine joins Hospitalist Dr. Jennifer Peters in caring for patients admitted to Copley’s Acute Care Nursing Unit.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.  Dr. Levine brings more than 30 years experience as a general internist and hospitalist in the New Hampshire area, coming most recently from the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.

“We welcome Dr. Levine to Copley’s medical community,” states Copley CEO Art Mathisen.   “We feel Dr. Levine’s experience and bedside manner make him a wonderful addition to our community hospital.”

Copley’s Hospitalists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to care for patients that are hospitalized.  They are specialists in Internal Medicine and are skilled in the latest inpatient diagnostics and treatments.  Hospitalists work closely with the patient’s primary care physician and coordinate care with nursing staff and other in-hospital care providers such as physical therapy, laboratory, dieticians and patient and family services.  They are available to respond quickly to any changes in your medical condition, provide timely updates resulting medical tests, and meet with your family.

Dr. Levine earned his medical degree from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.  He then completed his internship and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Monteflore Hospital Medical Center, Bronx, NY.  From 1985-1987 he completed his fellowship training in General Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

Dr. Levine became a general internist so he could follow his patients in and out of the hospital.  In 2014 he moved from the private practice/clinic setting to the hospital setting where he could better use his training as a hospitalist.  “I enjoy having a relationship with my patients and managing their care,” says Dr. Levine.

Please join Copley Hospital in welcoming Dr. Levine to the Copley community.
