Congratulations to Rehabilitation Scheduler/Tech Tom Gollicker on being named Copley’s Team Hero. Tom was nominated for the award by the entire Rehabilitation Department. Colleagues describe him as a “silent” member of the team that everyone accesses, yet rarely, is he recognized for his contributions to making the department run smoothly.

The Copley Team Hero award, given out monthly, recognizes an employee who demonstrates outstanding service and who exemplifies Copley’s values of community, respect and compassion, service excellence, and life-long learning.

In addition to supporting the therapists, Tom schedules patients, answers phones, covers the Mansfield Orthopaedics desk, orders supplies for the three clinics and keeps supplies stocked. He also greets foot care patients and gets them ready to see their therapist. In between each foot care patient, he sterilizes tools and prepares the room for the next patient.  Tom does not sit still during his shift. If all his tasks are complete, he takes the initiative to clean the toys used for the department’s pediatric patients. At any time, if someone needs help, Tom stops what he is doing to be an extra set of hands to ensure that patients are well cared for and receive outstanding customer service. Simply put, Tom does not hesitate to help his peers or patients at a moment’s notice, doing so with grace and poise!

Copley’s Director of Rehabilitation Services, Jill LaRock, describes Tom as a truly valued member of the team. “He’s passionate, committed and humble. Each day, Tom brings his high work ethic and dependability in producing good work. The team is truly happy for Tom to be recognized as Team Hero.”

Tom was part of the Rehab team from 2001-2004, returning to the department in 2014. He resides in Morrisville. On behalf of the entire Copley family, congratulations Tom!
