Copley Hospital Welcomes Dean Mudgett, Director of Development, Marketing & Community Relations

Morrisville, VT – Copley Hospital is pleased to welcome Dean Mudgett as Director of Development, Marketing & Community Relations. “We are pleased to welcome Dean to our team,” states Chief Operating Officer Vera Jones. “Dean’s background as a skilled communication leader and strategist, as well as his previous professional experience in healthcare and development, will be an asset to our team.”

In addition to managing the hospital’s marketing and community relations programs, Dean will focus on development and fundraising efforts, working closely with hospital leadership and the Foundation Committee. “Over the coming months, Dean will familiarize himself with Copley’s marketing program and strategic plan, and he will spend time in the community meeting with the individuals and organizations that generously support our important work,” said Jones. “In addition, Dean will help us continue to deliver our popular educational seminars and community events, and pursue other opportunities that support the hospital’s longstanding commitment to a healthier community.”

Dean is a Vermont native who grew up in Barre. He attended the University of Vermont College of Arts & Science where he received his Bachelor of Arts in French Literature before attending the New York University Graduate School of Arts & Science. During his almost twenty year career, Dean has held leadership roles supporting marketing, communications, and development initiatives for healthcare, governmental and educational organizations in Vermont, New York and Louisiana.

“Since returning to Vermont and settling in Stowe, I have been looking for a way to become part of the excellent team at Copley,” Mudgett said. “I am very proud to have Copley as an integral part of my community. This is an outstanding hospital, and I am excited to help further Copley’s mission and the vital role it plays in our area.”
