Morrisville, VT… A great way to get involved in your community hospital is by becoming a corporate member. As a not-for-profit organization, Copley Health Systems, Inc. relies on its Corporate Membership to guide the governance of the hospital. The hospital is seeking community residents with varied backgrounds and experience interested in serving in this role.
“Corporate membership is essential for maintaining Copley’s commitment to transparency, accountability and community governance,” says Copley Hospital President Melvyn Patashnick. “Our members play an important role in helping Copley meet the healthcare needs of our community.” He explains that Corporate Members are responsible for electing trustees representative of the community to govern the community hospital as well as approving bylaw changes. Members are asked to serve a three-year term, attending the hospital’s annual meeting in January and a community forum in September.
For more information on becoming a corporate member, please call 802-888-8157. The deadline for applying is November 18.
