Vehicles have changed. So too, have traffic rules, driving conditions and the roads you travel every day. For some drivers age 50-plus they have never looked back since getting their driver’s license, but even the most experienced drivers can benefit from refreshing their driving skills. Copley Hospital is pleased to be hosting a November AARP driver refresher class. The program is designed to help drivers age 50 and older improve their driving skills. This one day, four-hour class will be held on Wednesday April 17 and is open to all. The class will be held at Copley Hospital, Stevens Conference Room, 2nd floor of the Health Center Building from 8:30am to 1:00pm. To register, or for more information, contact Copley Hospital’s Wellness Center at 888-8369 or online at www.copleyvt.org.
Participants will learn and recognize links between driver, vehicle and road environment. The course also covers safety and advanced features in newer vehicles as well as how to determine when driving may no longer be safe. Participants may receive a discount, depending on your automobile insurance carrier.
Copley Hospital’s Wellness Center offers a variety of programs including CPR and first aid, quit smoking support, classes for expectant parents and personalized services through its Workplace Wellness Program.
