Copley Health Systems Annual MeetingFor Immeidate Release01/21/2008
Copley officials announced Monday of their 2007 Annual Meeting. The meeting is free and open to the public. This year’s meeting is scheduled to be held on Monday, January 28th, 5:30 p.m. at The Charlmont (Banquet Room) in Morrisville. Official business of election and reelection of members to the corporation kicks off the evening followed by the reelection of trustees and election of the governance committee member at large as well as voting on proposed amendments to the by-laws.
So why is membership of the Copley Corporation so important? As a community not-for-profit organization, Copley relies on its membership to perform two key functions for the organization, vote on proposed changes to the bylaws and elect representatives from the community to serve as trustees. Members also hold the responsibility of approving or rejecting proposed changes, ensuring that the needs of community are always represented and remain at the fore front of policy and operational development.
Whether through bylaw changes or electing community representatives to the Board of Trustees, members of the Copley organization play a key role in the success of meeting its vision and mission.
If you are interested in becoming a member, or learning more about becoming a member, of Copley Health Systems, stop by the administration office at the hospital, call (802) 888-8157, write to Copley Health Systems, 528 Washington Highway, Morrisville, VT 05661, or show-up that night.
