Patient Care - RehabilitationWhether you are a small child or a senior citizen, Copley is the community leader in providing the very best physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Copley’s patient-centered staff and custom-tailored programs are designed to fit your specific needs. Over the last 30 years, our team of clinicians and support staff has developed one of the most comprehensive and patient-friendly rehabilitation programs in Vermont.
Copley’s rehabilitation clinics provide both inpatient and outpatient care. To better serve you, in addition to our main department in Copley Hospital, we operate clinics at Mansfield Orthopaedics, in Hardwick and at the Stoweflake Resort and Spa in Stowe. Our exercise maintenance groups will keep you strong with fun and fitness combined. Our sports medicine program allows high school and other local athletes to get back on track in no time. We have developed school-based pediatric programs that offer services to local schools, while our sensory space at the hospital allows for skill building in a structured atmosphere. We offer a comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program, pulmonary rehabilitation, urinary incontinence treatment, hand therapy services, and on-site wellness activities for our employees.

Department Spotlight! Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program An eight week program for people with lung disease Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. in the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation gym for education, exercise, breathing retraining and the development of coping and support skills, in a group setting of up to six participants. Cost of the program is covered by most insurances. Benefits: reduce shortness of breath, improve well being, improve exercise tolerance, reduce hospitalizations, improve quality of life Individuals with COPD, asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, restrictive pulmonary disease, lung resections, occupational lung disease and any other systemic disease adversely affecting pulmonary function are eligible to participate. A physician referral is required. An initial evaluation prior to entering the program will determine baseline level of function and develop individual goals and plan. Smoking cessation is desirable before entering the program. Comments from past participants: “It affirmed the benefit from regular exercise and pointed me toward that goal.
