How to Help - Annual Campaign & EventsDear Community Member,
In today’s healthcare environment, well-trained professionals assisted by advances in technology are at the heart of quality medical care. For 75 years, Copley has met the quality challenge with competent, caring staff and state-of-the-art equipment.
As a Critical Access Hospital, Copley’s commitment to advanced technology has never wavered. The Hospital works diligently to carefully and efficiently allocate limited resources in order to provide you access to the latest advances in healthcare. From digital mammography to a 16-slice CT scanner, to a Picture Archiving Computer System (PACS), Copley has a tradition of bringing advanced technology to you so you don’t have to travel for it.
This year, Copley is asking you to support rebuilding the Digital Radiography and Fluoroscopy room (DRF). Fluoroscopy is best described as an “X-ray video” that is used for gastrointestinal procedures, orthopedic injections, and more.
The upgrade of this room will provide us with the latest technology, will support digital/electronic medical records, and will capture images with a lower dose of radiation. The DRF system we wish to acquire is completely digital. Now all our radiology studies are electronic. No more film means we save precious resources.
Like other hospitals, this year Copley again faces shrinking Medicare and Medicaid payments. The hospital is doing everything it can to be as efficient as possible. In 2008, we are holding the line on increased staff, choosing to use 2007 levels as a benchmark. Our 4.5% rate increase is the second lowest in the state.
To continue to provide state-of-the art, quality care to our community, Copley wants and needs your involvement. I ask you to support Copley again today, and through your gift, help us to rebuild our Digital Radiography and Fluoroscopy suite.
Sincerely,
Brian Harwood Foundation Chair
