Dr. Mullins received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry, graduating Cum Laude, from Cumberland College in Williamsburg Kentucky.In 1999, he received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Kentucky where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was class salutatorian.While in college he received the Norvin Green award for best thesis based on original research.He completed his post-graduate residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine.During his five years in orthopaedic residency, Dr. Mullins continued to work hard, scoring above the 90th percentile at their annual in-training examination and in the 95th percentile for part I of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Examination.Dr. Mullins completed his fellowship in advanced orthopaedic training in afflictions of the hand and upper extremity at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
