Symptoms of a Sleep Disorder
Fatigue Irritability Depression Lack of concentration and memory Lost productivity Vehicle or workplace accidents
It's easy to understand how such symptoms can affect your job, your health, and your quality of life. If left untreated, some disorders may increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, or stroke.
What are sleep disorders?
A sleep disorder is any condition that interrupts normal slee-wake paterns. The Center for Sleep Disorders program evaluates and treats all major sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, and restless leg/periodic leg movement syndrome. We work closely with you and your primary care provider to evaluate and treat your specific situation.
Sleep Testing
Sleep disorder testing at Copley involves an initial appointment with a sleep specialist. During the consultation the provider will review with you results of your sleep diary. If the provider determines that a sleep study is required you will spend the night in a private, comfortable patient room.
Our two Sleep Study bedrooms use state of the art monitoring equipment. All studies are supervised by a trained sleep technician, scored by a registered polysomnographic technologist and interpreted by a board certified sleep physician.
Treatment
If a sleep disorder is diagnosed, it can usually be treated effectively. Our team of specialists will evaluate the results of your overnight study and will make recommendations for treatment.
Our compassionate and professional team looks forward to working with you to help you achieve the quality of life you deserve. A referral is needed from your physician.
